Hello,

i have a maestro power dialer and i'm going to make a mini call center with it. Basically, i'm looking for piece of code to do same thing as w2cMultiExe20090408. when w2cMultiExe20090408 start, form Hi-Phone line 1 have sub tab maestro and submenu terminal, if i check the attach phone checkbox, i'll be able to use the line phone for calling. How i'm supposed to do that?

Hi!
Does anyone know how to send a list of wav files to the device, to be played one after another?
If I call the PlayWaveFile function twice without waiting for the first one to finish, only the second file is played.

I was wondering why the driver object has to be static (or Shared in VB.NET). Is there any particular reason? I suppose that's the way it is to avoid having more than 1 instance at the same time, but how do I interact with form elements (buttons, labels...) then? Static events won't let me modify local vars.

Is there any way to find out if the line is dropped?

I call call, I can talk to person, and I can hangup using the software.

Which means that the API is working great if I send some "command" to do something.

So, for testing, I called my cell phone--> answered --> I hangup on my cell

--> the line is still connected on my computer (maybe in silence mode) until I actually click on hangup button.

Is "OnSilentDetected" event handler used for this purpose?

(If Silent was detected for more than xxx second, then hangup?)

I did not want to do this because if somebody put their line on mute, it might hangs up as well.

Please advise,

I recently implemented Hi-Phone dialer using WPF browser application.

It works well and made outbound call. However, it takes 15 second to hear rining.

I used exactly same code in console application which took only 3~5 second.

Is there any tutoria or best practice for WPF browser application setting?

On Windows 2003 running latest 32-bit drivers, I get the following:

w2cDrv.Device.Info.WaveOutDrvID of 4294967294 (hex FFFFFFFE). This valueis typically 0. It is zero when I run this same application on my localWindows XP system. Thererfore, get an exception attempting to play a wave file using: w2cDrv.Device.Audio.PlayWaveFile(filename, 0,cint(w2cDrv.Device.Info.WaveOutDrvID)). The WaveOutDrvId parameter for Audio.PlayWaveFile is an unsigned integer and causes an arithmetic overflow exception since the 4294967294 it too large.

The Hi-Phone doesnt hang up the line if it doesnt get a command from the sw application to hang up.

Can you explain the senario?

I passed DTMFdigits without "TW," and it worked fine.

However, the call is being hanged up after few seconds.

Is there any way to keep the line open until agent manually hangup the call?

I am getting "Detection Timeout" event when I try to make a call.

Here are some of the debugging messages I got:

1) Inializing Way2Call Driver

3) Device Event: Device Reset Occured

5) Firmware Version: 4.03.27

7) Product ID: USB

8) Device Name: Hi-Phone Desktop USB 010243

10) Dialing the number : 91xxxxxxxxx(I was using my number)

11) Call(...) returned : SUCCESS

Device Event: Detection Timeout (What does this message mean?)

This is what I did to make a call:
CWay2callDriver.Errors xError = (CWay2callDriver.Errors)
w2c.Device.Call("TW," + DTMFDigits, true, false);

Any suggestion? What I have missed??

The Microsoft usbaudio.sys driver has a known problem in WIN XP and WIN 2003

This problem has been fixed in WIN Vista, WIN 7 and WIN server 2008.

Hi all,

I have encountered this issue for quite a while, sometime when I try to pickup the call, the windows went into bluescreen of death, and indicated that the usbaudio.sys had caused the problem.

I'm using HiPhone Maestro Power Dialer model (FW: 11.03.38), 32-bit dll (ver. 1.3.7.0). hope someone can help me with this issue. Thanks!

In order to do so, you should attach the selected Line to the headset

See code to attach a phone to a specific line.

You should do similar, BUT with headset attach.

This way, the audio from the Line will be monitored by the Headset speaker output.

In order to do conference, you need the PWC (Power Conference) model

I'm trying to create a set of generic classes from the SDK .net example. Everything compiles fine but I get the error:

"Unable to cast object of type 'XXX.cls_way2call' to type 'System.ComponentModel.ISynchronizeInvoke'."

It chokes up at:

cls_call.Driver.Device(INT_PROP_DEVICE).Open(0)

Hi all, I'm testing the 3way conference by using Hiphone Maestro, below are the steps:

1. Add line 1 to conference A

2. Attach headset to line 1 (optional)

3. Add line 2 to conference B

4. Attach headset to line 2 (optional)

But the hiphoneM throws an error to both line1 and line 2 with the following description:

Matrix Error: Feature

And both lines can't hear each other which indicated the conference cannot be established.

What is the reason of the error, did I missed any step?

The Hi-Phone Maestro IVR model enables the audio to from the headset, handset and 4 lines to/from the PC.

The PWD model enables to switch each of the lines to the headset or handset.

To perform the required operation in a simple way, the PWD model is required.

The Hi-Phone Maestro has a variety of audio paths, which are s/w dependable.

Some of the audio paths are related to the device model (e.g Phone or headset to the Line may be enable in the Maestro PWD and PWC model, but not in the IVR model).

I have the new Maestro, My question is since my Box has 4 lines does that mean when I initialize the Driver that the w2cDrv.NumDevices will be 4?

And if so, will it alway be true that Device 0 == Line 1, Device 1 == Line 2, etc? (meaning is order assured)?

I'm trying to thread the sub routine that calls the dialer in a windows form app. When I thread, the OnNativeDeviceEvent does not raise an event when "playback done" occurs. If I don't thread the subroutine, it does raise a OnNativeDeviceEvent called "playback done". What am I missing?

I'm writing a .net executable that will dial out. If nobody answers, inside the same running application, I would like to redial. The problem is, I don't know how to pause and wait for the first call to finish. In the sample console application, there is a "goto" loop that allows the redial and the key to the loop is the line:

cki = Console.ReadKey(false);

So, the Console.ReadKey is pausing the thread while the software is dialing and waiting for someone to hit "a" to make a new call. Does anyone know how to pause the thread in a windows .net application?

I'm playing around with using the .net voice synthesizer to play audio back when a person answers the phone....

On the OnCallConnected event, I thought about using:

Dim voice2 As New Speech.Synthesis.SpeechSynthesizer()

voice2.speak("test")

in place of:

w2cDrv.Device.Audio.PlayWaveFile("c:\welcome.wav", 0, CInt(w2cDrv.Device.Info.WaveOutDrvID))

Is there a way to do that?

The Hi-Phone Desktop Lite is a telephony device and not using the Voice modem drivers. It has full duplex voice capabilities, and supplies all the required signals and waves for applications development.

There is no one command to switch the audio to the PC’s speaker. This command is a modem specific.

One way is to take the audio from the Hi-Phone input and route it to the PC’s speaker (wave to wave).

More simple solution is to plug the speaker to the Hi-Phone’s speaker out jack, and hear the Line.

The Hi-Phone has few switching modes, which define the way the audio flows.

In order to get the Line audio in the handset, or headset you should choose the right switching mode.

Switching mode description and commands can be found in the SDK .net help file.

CWay2callDriver.CDevice.SwitchingModes Enumeration

Choose: Line_PcAudio_Phone mode.

Use the headset switch

This will route the audio to the PC, Line and handset together.

In order to use the headset, the headset should be chosen. (handset or headset can be used, but not together)

In order to choose between the handset and headset use the CWay2callDriver.CDevice.LOCAL_DEVICE

I am writing an AAC (augmentative and alternative communication) package which is available at ALSMatters.org. I am attempting to add a telephone interface. By that I mean the ability to send synthesized speech on demand and listen to incoming speech through the computer speakers.

I have accomplished this using a cheap voice modem and TAPI 3.1 using Julmar's ITAPI wrapper using C# however due to the half duplex issues the lag between generating and sending speech and switching back to listening makes it unusable.

For testing I have developed the same application using the Way2Call USB Lite and the .Net SDK. I am able to send text via a wav file but I am unable to hear the speaker (ie handset with no earpiece).

In Tapi I use:
TTerminal _speakerTerminal = address.GetDefaultStaticTerminal(TAPIMEDIATYPES.AUDIO, TERMINAL_DIRECTION.TD_RENDER);
and all incoming sound is routed through my speakers (default audio). What is the equivalent in the .Net SDK?

I can’t understand what exactly you are trying to do, I’m using the way2call products for few years and I’m sure that everything you can do with a TAPI and a Modem you can do with the Hi-Phone devices as well, and with better audio quality.

Can you explain in more details what you are trying to do step by step?

Even utilizing the test application I am unable to hear incoming voice unless I record it then play it back. I can accomplish that with TAPI and a $19 voice modem.

I purchased this modem for the full duplex capabilities to be used in an AAC application. Outgoing text is a wav generated by a text to speech engine. I now simply wish to route the line to the speakers so that I can hear the other party. If that is not possible please let me know so that I can return the unit.

Console applications does not have a window, and a window message "pump".

The 'Playback Done' event is triggered (internally in the Hi-Phone DLL) via
a window message.

The solution is to 'pump messages' .

Note: the 'pumping' thread must be the same thread that called
w2cUsbM_InitializeDriver(..)

We"ll put a note on it in the SDK.

Hi all...

I wrote a simple program using HiPhone Desktop USB able to dial a phone number and play a wave file.

When wave playback finish the program should hang up and terminate but the event OnAsyncPlaybackDone never fires! (tested putting a breakpoint into event handler routine).

Using the .NET SDK I am developing a windows service to interact with the desktop pro. When I try to open the device (w2cDrv.Device.Open(0)) after initializing the driver it throws the following exception: "Unable to cast object of type 'WindowsServiceName' to type 'System.ComponentModel.ISynchronizeInvoke.

If I transfer the same snippet of code into a Windows forms application there is no problem.

Does anyone know what the issue might be, thanks.

Hi.
In Control Panel -> Phone and MODEM options -> Location. I Have Spain who is my locatión.

But without tone monitor the system do not fire any event for Fax answer, either for ring tones.

Tomorow I verified that 2100Hz and 1408 ms or 2225Hz and and 1408 ms tone monitor detect Fax answer.

Can you confirm me that 425 Hz 1000ms is the ring tone for Spain?

Hi "arogerm",

FAX Answer is part of the standard call progress tones that the Hi-Phone detects.

The 'FAX Answered' (.NET: OnCallProgressFaxAnswer) event is fired when
this tone is detected.

There are 2 sets of tones that 'FAX Answered' detection consists of:
A. 2100Hz for 1408 millisecond.
B. 2225Hz for 1408 millisecond.

These tones can be found in 'International Tones' (Read the DLL API SDK)
which normally can be found in the TAPI configuration.

There is no need to monitor custom tones unless the tones are not standard.
( ToneMonitor should not be used).

According to the Ringing tone frequency in the code you have wrote (425Hz),
It looks that the local country is not correctly set on your machine.

Control Panel -> Phone and MODEM options -> Location.

The local country settings, "tells" the Hi-Phone which tone frequencies
will be used for call progress analysis
(the thing that fires the ringing, fax etc. events).

I need detect the ring tones in Outgoing callings and for this i add this code and work fine

Some Ideas for detect both tones? (Ring tone and fax answer)

Dear .NET developrs

The required components for deploying a .NET application are:

The latest Way2call drivers.
The 'w2cHpClrCs.dll' with its 'w2cHpClrCs.XML' files provided with the SDK.

These files can be included with the application's package, and installed to the application's installation folder.

There is no need to install 'w2cHpClrCs.dll' to the GAC.
